great staff and fantastic breakfast experience during my stay

Positive, The location was perfect for exploring the old town. The rooms were clean with fresh bedding and generous towels. Breakfast was hearty with different options daily. Staff were accommodating and friendly, using an app to communicate effectively. I felt very welcomed.

The location is ideal for exploring the area, and the breakfast offerings were hearty with unique items like scrambled eggs with diced vegetables. However, the room had a significant cleanliness oversight with debris on the floor and missing essentials like soap and tissue. Additionally, the lack of hot water was frustrating, and the door didn't close securely, which affected my sense of safety.

I had a great time at Baluarte Boutique! The breakfast area looked lovely, and our room with a balcony was a real treat. The noise from the rooftop bar was a bit much at times, but overall, I enjoyed my stay!

Oh my goodness, I think I ate the most delicious meal of my life at Santa Rita, just a hop away! The staff is also stellar, super responsive through WhatsApp. Plus, breakfast is included, and coffee flows like a river!

the renovations feel half-baked. No soundproofing, so city sounds seep in, and that cash-only policy led to a wild goose chase for ATMs. Oh, and the beds near the shared courtyard offered an uninvited view!

Consider requesting a room away from the terrace bar to minimize noise disturbances, particularly on weekends.

The WiFi barely worked in the upstairs rooms!!! Cold showers on the first days really tested my patience. Plus, a little more privacy in the bathroom setup wouldn’t hurt!!!

The noise from the nearby rooftop bar kept the vibe alive well into the night, making it tough to catch some Z's. The lack of soundproofing meant city sounds seeped into the room, and the bathroom layout felt cramped, especially with a loud, ever-present fan that couldn't be turned off separately. WiFi connectivity was spotty, particularly in the upstairs rooms, and it lacked basic towel hanging hooks, which was surprisingly inconvenient.

The staff was exceptionally accommodating, utilizing an app to help bridge the language gap and always ready to assist. I also enjoyed breakfast, which offered a nice variety each morning, including scrambled eggs with fresh ingredients and tasty sides.

However, I did experience some noise from the street, especially at night.

The King Room with Balcony was spacious and had a great view but man, it was loud. The club below kept the noise going all night. Plus, the bed wasn’t the comfiest. could’ve used a mattress upgrade. At least the staff was friendly and the room was clean. But yeah, I wasn’t too thrilled about the disturbance. It felt a bit overpriced for that kind of discomfort.
